Indictment Issued In New Year’s Eve Rape Incident
An indictment has been handed down against a Loretto resident accused of raping a local woman on New Year’s Eve.
The indictment was issued against forty-seven-year-old Harold Jerome Hunt of Loretto. The thirty-five-year-old victim alleged that she had been raped while at a home in Lawrenceburg. Officials with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were asked to investigate the matter.
Hunt was booked on the indictment on Tuesday through the Lawrence County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 20, 2010 in Lawrence County Circuit Court.
